Darling, I’m worried.

As we all know by now, and if you don’t know welcome back from the rock you were once under, there is a lot of drama surrounding this new Olivia Wilde film. I personally am not here to talk about any of that, so if that’s what you're looking for, sorry wrong zine.
The movie itself is actually not bad. I think a lot of the bad press and word around the movie left me with very low expectations and I was prepared to fully not enjoy the film. So that being said I bar I had for the movie was literally on the ground, but I am happy to say I actually enjoyed my time there.
As some may say, the movie really felt like a movie, which sounds fun but really does drive the point home. I have a personal theory that not every movie is meant to be Oscar-winning but some movies are just made to be “popcorn at the movie” films. Which means it meant to just go enjoy yourself and have a good time, which I personally did.
I think if you’re a big fan of the Stepford Wives, Black Mirror, or even just Florence Pugh herself, you’ll enjoy the movie. I think the movie does a good job of carrying the suspense and questions but keeping the movie entertaining throughout. I also personally loved the chemistry between Florence and Harry,

I do think the movie has some faults and things I personally still have questions about, but I do think the movie resolved itself and some big questions which for me is the most important part.
Chris Pine is also a stand-out for me in the film as a long-time Chris Pine simp, to fear him and still think he’s hot was scarily confusing.
Overall, the movie is not as bad as everyone is saying it was and I would suggest you go make your own opinions and check out the movie for yourself.
