Malcolm Todd Music Review

Malcolm Todd is a new artist who currently is racking up the listeners as we speak. With 50K followers on TikTok and around 600,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Malcolm continuously expands his audience daily.

I happen to stumble across his account on TikTok thanks to the algorithm gods and quickly found his music constantly stuck in my head. Actually, his music burrowed its way into my ear canal and has built a little nest for itself.

Songs like Sweet Boy, Out of Bounds and Art House (and so many more) have an infectious indie pop feel with an R&B taste, much like Steve Lacy with his last album Gemini Rights. Even with many artists now riding the wave of this music style gaining popularity, Malcolm is able to stand out by being authentic not only to the genre but to his audience.

I was also lucky enough to go to one of his first performances when he played with Kidsnot$aints. and RC Avenue. All acts did an amazing job and have been on my radar ever since.
