I do also love lasagna.

Garfield is a cartoon cat that has graced us with his presence since 1978. (Side note: the day was June 19 making Garfield a Gemini) Since my first encounter with Garfield, the trajectory of my life has changed.
This sassy, lasagna-loving, fat cat has been in my subconscious for as long as I could remember, pointing me straight to the buffet at all times. As I’ve grown older and life has taken over I feel his voice and guidance have dimmed. As I’m getting older, I don’t feel like I’m maturing but quite the opposite, I’m regressing, and because of this I feel like I get a second chance at growing up. This time, I wanna be more like Garfield.
Garfield gets what he wants in life. He lets his desires and dreams guide him. He also has a coffee addiction, just like me. He often flexes his intelligence over his less-than counterparts *cough cough Odie* but most important, doesn’t take anyone’s sh*t.

I want to be as confident in my wants and desires as Garfield, but most importantly I want to also be just as determined to get it. Also am in desperate need of a nap.
I think we could all take a page of advice from Garfield, but one of my favorite quotes of the grumpy and lovable cat is, “love me, feed me, never leave me”.
